Voice Overs for Television and RadioMost of the Voiceover Artists in the World Voices index have experience voicing TV and Radio Commercials. File Format Quality demands that all voice overs for television or radio are recorded using 44,100Hz sampling rate (usually 16 bit mono). If very long upload times are to be avoided, mp3 is appropriate for sending voice overs as attachments to email. If your studio has not yet done so, you should download an mp3 decoder. Producer Audition With TVCs and Radio Commercials, it is more likely that the Producer may want to listen to the voice over as it is being read. It is not a requirement that voices have access to ISDN connections, but many of the high end voices do. Please ask when you request your quote. As an alternative, most studios have the facility for a telephone audition. The producer listens to the recording over the telephone. The final product is then sent online in higher quality mp3. This option is becoming more popular because it is cheaper and the producer does not need his/her own ISDN link. Please note that Producer Audition is usually more costly (because it takes more studio time). If it is required, please request the facility when you ask for your quote. Sound Design Services Almost all voice reads need to be edited and produced before broadcast. In its most simple form it may be cleaning and processing a cold read. Otherwise music and sound effects may be needed. If you do not have your own facilities or expertise the World-Voices Studio Services are available. |
